Tiger in charcoal by jacqui-kate Tiger in charcoal by jacqui-kate
The result of a week without Facebook, and thus the crazy distractions/dramas of my social life. Took about 12 hours in total c:

:bulletblue: charcoal, kneaded eraser, a million blending sticks.
:bulletpurple: 20" x 16"
[2011]

Very soft blending with my blending sticks and a tiny amount of willow charcoal. I'm glad you like it :aww:

That's exactly how they be looking at you, HUNGRY! lol What's your biggest accomplishment in this? The texture of the fur is convincing. Keep them skills up, you'll be great.

Thank you! Definitely the fur - I was trying and failing for hours, until I finally decided to stop drawing with my pencil and start blending/erasing with my blending stick. I'm very happy with how it turned out, while never perfect, it's the best I've ever done :D

Thank you! No, it was black charcoal drawn onto white paper. The whites are just untouched areas :aww:

I used the edge of a regular office eraser for the strongest highlights :] But for the white areas of the fur around the eyes, I just left the white paper untouched.
